Kitchen duties
- Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods; regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures.
- Thaw frozen food in the refrigerator; ensure proper portions, arrangement, and garnishes.
- Maintain food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
- Coordinate assistance during busy periods, report surplus food for daily specials, and notify service staff of specials or unavailable menu items.
Team and workplace duties
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Follow company and safety policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and meet quality expectations.
- Anticipate guest needs, communicate professionally, build positive working relationships, and support common team goals.
- The role involves extended periods standing, sitting, or walking and moving objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
- At least 3 years of related work experience is preferred.
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is specified; no license or certification is listed.
