Duties and responsibilities
- Manage mise en place, food production, and live service to meet recipe and plating standards.
- Direct and delegate tasks to Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants, giving real-time service guidance.
- Use accurate cooking techniques for the station’s cuisine and guest requests.
- Plan daily station preparation schedules and ensure readiness before each service.
- Enforce standardized recipes, correct cooking temperatures, and allergen protocols.
- Monitor stock, rotate ingredients, and minimize food waste.
- Maintain station cleanliness and hygiene in line with GCC food safety, HACCP, and halal standards.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of kitchen experience, including 1–2 years as a Chef de Partie or Senior Line Cook, in upscale dining.
- Culinary certification and HACCP or food-safety credentials are specified.
- Demonstrable training in French, Italian, Arabic, or Indian cuisine; GCC hospitality experience is preferred.
- Strong culinary techniques, ability to work quickly under pressure, and ability to manage junior staff in a diverse team.
Compensation and benefits
- Starting salary is SAR 3,000–3,500 per month.
