Chartered Accountant – Construction & Interior Fit-Out

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the company's accounting and financial reporting functions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability for construction and fit-out projects.
• Perform project cost analysis and job costing to ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Review and control project expenditures against approved budgets.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital requirements.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Support tendering and contract review processes from a financial perspective.
• Monitor subcontractor and supplier payments in line with contract terms.
• Prepare management reports, MIS reports, and financial performance dashboards.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial controls.
• Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and senior management to support business objectives.

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA), ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent qualification.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting and finance experience, preferably in construction, fit-out, or contracting companies.
• Strong knowledge of project accounting and job costing.
• Experience with UAE VAT regulations and financial compliance.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Interior Fit-Out, Joinery, Furniture Manufacturing, or Construction sectors.
• Knowledge of contract accounting and revenue recognition.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Tally, or similar.
