Team and role

TELUS Health Data Services works on health data interoperability in Canada.

Lead end-to-end implementation workflows, translating strategic priorities into measurable execution plans in collaboration with Product and Engineering.

The work supports point-of-care clinician access to patient data while protecting privacy and advancing technology innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation workflows and align roadmaps and quarterly and sprint planning with operational capacity and customer commitments.
  • Lead quarterly planning and risk reviews; maintain the program risk register and coordinate risk mitigation.
  • Track capital expenditure and program budgets, flag variances, support monthly financial reporting, and prepare executive communications.
  • Serve as primary contact for external program partners; lead contract reviews and coordinate legal, finance, and product stakeholders.
  • Identify government funding, co-investment, and interoperability partnership opportunities; engage provincial and national stakeholders.
  • Coordinate Health Data Services, EMR product teams, and external health systems to align architecture, scope, and go-to-market sequencing.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and client-side counterparts to support implementation alignment and renewals.

Qualifications

  • More than 7 years of progressive program or project management experience in technology, digital health, or health information technology.
  • Experience managing complex multi-stakeholder programs amid competing priorities, tight timelines, and ambiguity.
  • Experience with government environments, public health systems, or regulated health data, including funding applications and contract management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including executive communication and synthesis of complex technical material.
  • Experience building trusted external partnerships and internal cross-functional relationships.
  • Comfort with budgets, actuals, variances, monthly reporting, and practical risk management.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Google Workspace.
  • Advanced English proficiency is required; French is an asset.

Additional assets

  • Health data interoperability knowledge such as FHIR 4, HL7, SNOMED, provincial health information networks, or Canada Health Infoway programs is an asset.
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification; exposure to SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban; and technology-sector contract negotiation experience are assets.
