CCTV Design & MOI-SSD Approval Engineer

Role overview

Team management and coordination

• Lead and manage CCTV draftsmen and documentation personnel; assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor daily progress.
• Review team work for quality and accuracy, and ensure timely completion of drawings, documentation, and MOI submissions.
• Coordinate with sales, presales, project engineers, and other departments to obtain project information.
• Establish and maintain an organized workflow for the design and documentation team.

CCTV design and technical review

• Oversee CCTV layouts, camera coverage drawings, schematic diagrams, and other technical drawings.
• Review drawings for MOI-SSD compliance, camera positioning, coverage, equipment selection, and system design.
• Review CCTV BOQs, technical specifications, storage calculations, and related documents; provide technical guidance and approve drawings internally.

MOI documentation and approvals

• Take responsibility for MOI-SSD documentation and approval activities across assigned company projects.
• Supervise preparation, verification, and submission of MOI documents through relevant online portals.
• Monitor application status, coordinate responses to comments and resubmissions, and follow up to obtain approvals within project timelines.
• Coordinate with MOI authorities, consultants, contractors, and clients; maintain records of submissions, approvals, revisions, and correspondence.

Department performance and reporting

• Maintain a centralized tracker for ongoing MOI design and approval activities; monitor productivity, deadlines, and approval progress.
• Identify delays, take corrective action, submit regular progress reports to management, and improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in electrical, electronics, telecommunications, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including substantial experience with MOI-SSD CCTV projects in Qatar.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar MOI-SSD regulations, design standards, and approval procedures; hands-on experience with MOI portal submissions and approvals.
• Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD and CCTV system design.
• Previous experience supervising draftsmen, engineers, or documentation teams; ability to review drawings, specifications, and documentation independently.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Good English communication skills. A Qatar driving licence is advantageous.
• The preferred candidate can independently lead the entire MOI-SSD design and documentation function and own team performance and deliverables.

Pay

• Pay starts at QAR 5,000 per month.
