A Cashier is sought for a Chicken Tikka restaurant team to handle customer transactions, process orders, provide customer service, and support restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist with orders.
- Accurately process cash, card, and digital payments.
- Enter customer orders into the POS system and answer questions about menu items, promotions, and prices.
- Communicate orders to the kitchen; assist with takeaway, delivery, and online orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized cashier counter and dining area.
- Handle complaints professionally and escalate issues when needed.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and cash-handling procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cashier, customer service, or restaurant team experience is preferred.
- Basic computer and POS system knowledge; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and flexibility for shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to speak English.
- One year of food preparation experience is required.
