Key responsibilities
- Process cash, credit or debit card, bank transfer, and other customer payments.
- Issue invoices, receipts, and payment confirmations; maintain transaction and daily collection records.
- Reconcile cash on hand with sales or payment records at each shift end.
- Prepare daily cash reports and submit collections to the Accounts Department.
- Handle petty cash and retain supporting documents.
- Verify invoices, bills, and payment details before transactions.
- Coordinate with Accounts on outstanding payments and discrepancies.
- Assist customers with payment questions and provide professional service.
- Safeguard cash, receipts, and financial documents; follow financial procedures and internal controls.
- Report shortages, overages, or suspicious transactions to the supervisor immediately.
Requirements and qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; an Accounting or Finance diploma is an advantage.
- Previous Cashier experience; automotive, retail, or service industry experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cash handling, billing, invoicing, and payment reconciliation.
- Familiarity with MS Excel and billing or accounting software.
- Strong numerical, communication, and organizational skills; honesty, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple transactions efficiently.
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of UAE currency and payment procedures.
- Candidates currently residing in the UAE are preferred.
Compensation
- Salary is AED 2,500 per month.
