Carpentry Supervisor

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily carpentry and joinery activities, allocate work, and monitor workmanship, productivity, and finished-product quality.
• Review approved drawings and specifications; oversee fabrication, assembly, fitting, and installation of furniture and joinery items.
• Supervise work on wardrobes, cabinets, doors, wall panels, counters, and custom furniture; ensure accurate measurements, cutting, alignment, and finishing.
• Monitor materials, tools, and equipment to minimize waste; coordinate with draftsmen, project managers, production managers, and site supervisors.
• Resolve technical issues, ensure materials and fittings are available, monitor schedules, inspect quality, and arrange corrections.
• Ensure proper material and furniture storage, safe working practices, team productivity, and timely progress reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Carpentry Supervisor, Joinery Supervisor, Senior Carpenter, or similar; hands-on carpentry, joinery, furniture manufacturing, and team supervision experience.
• Able to read and interpret shop and technical drawings; knowledge of common furniture materials, tools, machinery, hardware, and fitting systems.
• Strong knowledge of furniture assembly, joinery construction, and finishing methods; good problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
• Able to manage workloads, maintain quality standards, and meet deadlines.

Preferred experience

• UAE experience in joinery, furniture manufacturing, or interior fit-out is preferred.
• Custom-made or high-end furniture experience, workshop and site installation coordination, and material planning or workshop workflow knowledge are preferred.
• Strong leadership and ability to train and guide carpenters are preferred.

Workplace

• Work location is in person and includes carpentry and joinery activities.

Pay and benefits

• Pay is AED 1,000 to AED 10,000 per month; salary is described as competitive and based on experience and skills.
