Role overview

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wooden components and furniture parts to drawings and specifications.
• Assemble and install cabinets, wardrobes, doors, counters, wall panels, and other furniture items.
• Work with plywood, MDF, veneer, laminates, solid wood, and other furniture materials.
• Perform drilling, routing, sanding, fitting, and other carpentry tasks.
• Install hinges, handles, locks, drawer systems, and other furniture hardware.
• Read shop drawings and technical details; ensure accurate measurements, alignment, and quality finishing.
• Carry out adjustments, repairs, and modifications when required and inspect completed work.
• Use tools, machinery, and equipment safely; coordinate with the team, maintain an organized work area, and meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a carpenter, furniture carpenter, joinery carpenter, or in a similar role.
• Good practical knowledge of carpentry and joinery techniques.
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings and measurements.
• Knowledge of wood, MDF, plywood, veneer, laminates, and other furniture materials.
• Familiarity with carpentry tools, machinery, hardware, and fittings.
• Good attention to detail and finishing quality; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to complete tasks within required deadlines.
• UAE experience in furniture manufacturing, joinery, or interior fit-out is preferred.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with custom-made furniture and bespoke joinery is preferred.
• Experience with high-end residential, hospitality, or commercial projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of furniture assembly and installation, or ability to perform on-site adjustments and rectification work, is preferred.
