Role overview

Responsibilities

• Supervise workshop and on-site carpentry and joinery activities; assign work and monitor progress, attendance, productivity, and team performance.
• Interpret shop drawings, technical drawings, and project specifications; oversee fabrication, assembly, fitting, finishing, and installation of furniture and joinery.
• Manage work on wardrobes, cabinets, doors, counters, wall panels, and custom furniture; check measurements, alignment, workmanship, and quality.
• Coordinate with draftsmen, project and production managers, site supervisors, and other departments.
• Ensure materials, tools, hardware, and fittings are available; monitor consumption, reduce waste, and resolve technical or workmanship issues.
• Enforce safety and housekeeping; report progress, staffing needs, material shortages, and issues; deliver work to deadlines.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Carpenter Foreman, Joinery Foreman, Senior Carpenter, or similar supervisor.
• Strong practical carpentry, joinery, and furniture manufacturing knowledge; experience supervising carpenters and helpers.
• Able to interpret shop and technical drawings; knowledge of common furniture materials, workshop machinery, tools, hardware, and fittings.
• Good understanding of furniture assembly, joinery techniques, and finishing standards; strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.

Preferred experience

• Custom-made furniture, high-end joinery, interior fit-out, and coordination of workshop and site installation teams are preferred.
• Knowledge of material planning, manpower allocation, and production workflows is preferred.
• UAE furniture manufacturing or joinery industry experience is preferred.

Workplace

• Work is in person and includes workshop and on-site activity.

Pay and benefits

• Pay is AED 1,000 to AED 10,000 per month; the posting also describes salary as competitive and based on experience and skills.
