Overview
We are looking for an experienced Buyer to manage procurement of materials, subcontractor services, and vendor coordination for interior fit-out projects.
The candidate should have strong market knowledge, negotiation skills, and experience handling project-based purchasing.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure interior fit-out materials (joinery, MEP items, finishes, furniture, etc.)
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
- Ensure timely procurement aligned with project schedules
- Obtain quotations, compare pricing, and prepare purchase orders
- Maintain cost control and ensure procurement within budget
- Coordinate with project managers and site engineers for material requirements
- Track deliveries and ensure material quality compliance
- Maintain and update approved vendor list
- Resolve supply delays and procurement-related issues
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in interior fit-out or construction procurement
- Strong knowledge of market rates and suppliers
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to read BOQs and technical specifications
- Experience in fast-paced project environments
- Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement systems (ERP preferred)
Preferred Skills
- Experience in luxury residential, commercial, or hospitality fit-out projects
- Strong vendor network in local and regional markets
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
