Job Title

Business Process Consultant – Insurance Operations (Contract / Project-Based)

Location:** UAE (On-site And Hybrid)

**Engagement Type:** Consultant / Project-Based (3–6 months, extendable)

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced **Business Process Consultant** to assess, redesign, and optimize our end-to-end insurance operations across **Medical, Motor, and General Insurance verticals**.

The consultant will be responsible for identifying operational gaps, improving efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing scalable process frameworks aligned with business growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities1. Process Assessment & Gap Analysis

  • Conduct detailed review of existing processes across:
  • Medical underwriting & operations
  • Motor insurance operations
  • Sales & distribution workflows
  • Perform **AS-IS process mapping**
  • Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and control gaps
  • Benchmark current processes against industry best practices

2. Process Design & Optimization

  • Develop **TO-BE process frameworks**
  • Standardize workflows across departments
  • Design and document **SOPs, policies, and procedures**
  • Introduce process automation opportunities where applicable

3. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure alignment with:
  • UAE Central Bank regulations
  • Insurance authority guidelines
  • Internal governance standards
  • Strengthen controls, reporting structures, and approval workflows

4. Performance Management Framework

  • Define and implement **KPIs and SLAs** across functions
  • Establish monitoring dashboards and reporting mechanisms
  • Align operational metrics with business targets

5. Implementation & Change Management

  • Support implementation of redesigned processes
  • Work closely with department heads and leadership
  • Conduct training sessions for teams on new processes
  • Drive adoption and ensure smooth transition

6. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with senior leadership (CEO, Operations, Sales, Compliance)
  • Provide periodic updates and strategic recommendations
  • Present findings, reports, and transformation roadmap

Deliverables

  • AS-IS and TO-BE process maps
  • Gap analysis report
  • SOP manual and policy documentation
  • KPI & governance framework
  • Implementation roadmap with timelines
  • Final transformation report

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in:
  • Business process consulting / transformation
  • Insurance operations (mandatory)
  • Strong experience in **UAE/GCC insurance market**
  • Proven track record in **process re-engineering / BPR projects**
  • Familiarity with:
  • Medical & Motor insurance operations
  • Underwriting and claims processes
  • Knowledge of **UAE regulatory frameworks (CBUAE preferred)**

Preferred Profile

  • Background in consulting firms (Big 4 or boutique consulting firms)
  • Experience working with insurance brokers or insurers
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and drive projects end-to-end
