Full-time Business Development Manager role based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The role focuses on business growth, client-base expansion, revenue, and long-term sustainability.
The client is a global logistics provider offering air, sea, and land freight forwarding solutions.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement strategies for long-term growth and revenue.
- Retain and grow existing client relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
- Understand company offerings and communicate their value to prospective clients.
- Prepare proposals, negotiate terms, and close new business deals.
- Align business strengths with customer needs to build partnerships.
- Research market opportunities, industry trends, and income streams.
- Generate leads through inbound follow-up, outbound calls, and emails.
- Open accounts, establish credit facilities, and develop customer onboarding procedures.
- Meet and exceed quarterly sales quotas.
- Research target accounts, identify decision-makers, and generate interest.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- At least 5–7 years of business development experience in the Saudi Arabian market.
- Familiarity with local business culture and regulations.
- Prior freight forwarding company experience is mandatory.
- A strong network of relevant business contacts is a plus.
Skills and capabilities
- Strong verbal and written communication and stakeholder relationship management.
- Negotiation and business development strategy design and implementation.
- Conflict resolution, self-motivation, multitasking, and team leadership.
- Track record of achieving sales targets and quotas.
- Awareness of local and international industry trends and competition.
