About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven Senior BD Manager to lead and grow our strategic relationships with Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) firms and National Oil Companies (NOCs) in the UAE/GCC.
The successful candidate will own the full sales cycle, from market strategy and lead generation to proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
The role requires deep understanding of EPC procurement processes, strong business acumen, and fluency in Arabic (speaking, reading, writing).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to win engineering solutions with EPCs and NOCs in the UAE/GCC.
- Own and manage the end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, solution design coordination, RFP/RFQ responses, bid defense, negotiations, and closing.
- Build and maintain C-level and senior stakeholder relationships within EPCs and NOCs; identify and engage with procurement, engineering, project controls, and commercial teams.
- Analyze and articulate customer needs, competitive landscape, and pricing strategies to craft compelling value propositions and differentiated proposals.
- Collaborate with engineering and solutions teams to translate customer requirements into viable technical and commercial offers.
- Manage key accounts, forecast accurately, and meet or exceed annual sales targets and profitability metrics.
- Navigate regional procurement processes, including bid criteria, evaluation, supplier qualification, and contract terms.
- Develop and deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and tender submissions in Arabic and English.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of direct experience selling engineering solutions to EPCs and national oil companies.
- Proven track record of owning and achieving sales targets and closing large-scale deals.
- Deep understanding of EPC procurement processes, tendering, bid defense, and contract negotiation.
- Strong regional network within UAE/GCC EPCs and NOCs;
- Arabic language proficiency is mandatory.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with engineering services, software, equipment, or integrated solution offerings for energy, oil & gas, or heavy industry.
- Exposure to pricing strategies, RFP pricing, and competitive bidding in the GCC.
