Role overview
Work across retail client engagements covering market expansion, digital enablement, cost transformation, and merchandising and marketplace strategy.
Develop data-driven retail and customer-experience assets for client engagements.
Typical work
- Advise retailers on new markets to expand into and ways to become more digital.
- Support save-to-grow cost transformation and refresh merchandising and marketplace strategy for in-store and online channels.
- Develop data-driven assets that help deliver rapid value to retail clients.
Qualifications
- Requires 0–3 years of consulting and/or relevant retail industry experience.
- Requires understanding of one or more of retail transformation, category management, stores and technology, retail technology, or retail pricing solutions.
- Requires deep retail industry knowledge, including trends and priorities.
- Requires analytical problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and client-service skills.
- A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is a nice to have.
Work model
- The position uses a hybrid work model.
Compensation
- Salary range is $50,000–$90,000; eligible individuals may participate in a bonus program.

The retail practice works across Deloitte teams to provide end-to-end value to retail clients, focusing on practical solutions that improve customer experience and remove friction points.
