Role overview
The position is a Business Analyst role.
Certifications
- CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis) certification is specified.
- Agile certifications or Agile training are preferred.
Business analysis skills
- Gather business-user requirements and create BRDs; elicit and document functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate business requirements for developers, designers, and vendors.
- Analyze and model processes; map current-state and future-state processes.
- Analyze data and processes and understand data flows, process flows, and system interactions.
- Maintain requirements traceability through scope changes, testing, and final solution; define acceptance criteria and validate testing.
Stakeholder and communication skills
- Engage and manage stakeholders and lead large design sessions and workshops.
- Communicate requirements to business stakeholders, Product Owners, Business Partners, developers, designers, system teams, and database teams.
- Create and present business cases; support value justification, approval, funding, and prioritization.
Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements and translate them for technical teams.
- Model business processes, data flows, process flows, and system interactions.
- Track requirements through scope changes, testing, and delivery; define acceptance criteria and validate testing.
- Lead stakeholder workshops and design sessions, and support business cases and funding and prioritization decisions.
Compensation
- Salary range is CAD 90,000–CAD 110,000 per year.
