Business Analyst – Data Lakehouse Program

Role overview

Stakeholder and requirements management

• Gather and document requirements with business, IT, EDM, DWH, Data Governance, and reporting stakeholders.
• Conduct workshops on business processes, reporting needs, and data consumption requirements.
• Translate requirements into functional specifications and user stories, and maintain traceability through the project lifecycle.

Data analysis and modeling

• Analyze source systems, data flows, and business processes; support logical and physical model validation aligned with FSLDM and FSAS.
• Review source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, and business logic; capture business definitions, data semantics, and reporting requirements accurately.

Data quality and reconciliation

• Define and validate business data quality rules and support profiling, reconciliation, and validation across Source Systems, DWH, EDM, and Data Lakehouse layers.
• Analyze discrepancies, collaborate on remediation, and participate in defect triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution tracking.

Reporting and testing

• Understand report logic and dependencies, support mapping legacy reports to Gold Layer structures, and validate data readiness for report repointing.
• Facilitate business acceptance and sign-off; prepare and review SIT/UAT scenarios and test cases, coordinate business testing, and validate implemented solutions.
• Support performance and business validation reviews.

Documentation and governance

• Prepare BRDs, FRS, data mapping documents, process flows, and user stories; maintain traceability matrices, issue logs, and decision registers.
• Support data governance, metadata, lineage, and compliance initiatives, and participate in project governance, status reporting, and stakeholder communication.

Required qualifications

• At least 8 years of business analysis experience in Banking and Financial Services.
• Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing, Data Lakehouse, EDM, reporting ecosystems, FSLDM, FSAS, enterprise data models, and data governance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, data reconciliation, and data quality; experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred skills

• Experience with Cloudera, Informatica, Teradata, Denodo, Kafka, or modern Data Lakehouse platforms is preferred.
• Exposure to regulatory reporting and banking data domains, and knowledge of NDMO/NDI compliance and data governance, are preferred.
• CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile BA, or data management certifications are preferred.
