Buildout Electrical Supervisor
Full Job Posting
- Supervise and schedule electrical crews and projects.
- Perform hands-on commercial and industrial electrical installations, repairs, and upgrades.
- Plan and execute infrastructure improvements such as electrical upgrades or expansions.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical problems.
- Select materials and hardware for any electrical tasks to be performed.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on systems, tools, and equipment as needed.
- Support the IT team as needed by running conduit, fiber, etc.
- Complete as-builts after work is completed
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable electrical codes and standards.
- Coordinate and serve as the primary point of contact for outside electrical contractors.
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years experience working as a journeyman electrician
- Experience working with high voltage/low voltage
- Strong knowledge of national and local electrical codes
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Ability to specify all electrical materials, create a bill of materials, and gather quotes as needed
- Ability to develop single line drawings and rough schematics of electrical systems as needed
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits and wiring
- Strong understanding of power distribution systems, transformers and load sizing.
- Experience installing conduit and running cable through conduit and trenches.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and electrical blueprints.
- Ability to use various testing and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to work without supervision.
- Ability to work under aggressive deadlines.
