About the company

Responsibilities

• Work with project managers and engineers on efficient, cost-effective solutions to construction challenges; create cost estimates for decision-making.
• Develop supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and pricing, and serve as primary contact for key Bastrop-based suppliers.
• Help develop and implement purchasing systems and processes to improve efficiency.
• Execute purchase orders for the Dubai operation accurately and promptly; communicate order status and coordinate delivery logistics.
• Source critical items with project managers, field engineers, and field technicians.
• Manage rental equipment delivery and return and maximize utilization through a system that ensures timely returns.
• Resolve supplier invoice issues to ensure vendor payment; report and monitor tunneling-supply inventory.

Basic requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

Preferred skills and experience

• A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or a similar discipline is preferred.
• Extensive (5+ years) of buying, procurement, or purchasing experience with TBMs and associated machines and parts is preferred.
• Time management, multitasking, urgency, attention to detail, independent work, and problem-solving abilities are preferred.
• Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is preferred.
• A driver’s license, vehicle, and good driving record are preferred.

Additional requirements

• The position may require extended work hours and weekend work.
• The employee must be willing to drive a personal vehicle for company tasks as needed.
