Inventory Manager

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Set up warehouse layout, storage, slotting, labeling, and inventory operating practices; manage receiving, storage, and issuance across project locations.
• Establish and audit critical TBM spares kits; maintain accurate records and investigate discrepancies.
• Perform cycle counts, reconcile variances, monitor stock and reorder points, and prevent shortages.
• Coordinate international shipments, UAE customs clearance, import documentation, freight forwarders, purchasing, and vendors.
• Implement inventory systems, train staff, and hire and lead inventory and warehouse employees as the function grows.
• Ensure warehouse and material-handling work meets UAE regulations and project safety standards.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of inventory control, warehouse, or materials management experience in construction, heavy industry, manufacturing, or oil and gas.
• Hands-on knowledge of SAP, MOS/MES, or equivalent inventory systems; strong proficiency with scanners, data tools, and spreadsheets.
• Experience with cycle counting, discrepancy root-cause analysis, and inventory accuracy programs.
• Must be comfortable in a hands-on, field-adjacent role.
• Must be based in the UAE or GCC region, or eligible to work in the UAE.
• The position may require extended hours and weekend work.

Preferred experience

• UAE customs processes and import/export documentation experience is strongly preferred.
• Tunneling, mining, or major Gulf infrastructure project experience is a plus.
• Experience building or scaling an inventory or warehouse function is a plus.
