The BMS Operator is based in the Engineering Department at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi.
The role operates and maintains the engineering control room and reports to the ELV/IT Systems Engineer.
Duties
- Ensure smooth and efficient operation of the central monitoring station and associated systems.
- Manage and respond to 24-hour engineering emergency calls.
- Prepare system diagnostic reports for the technical team in accordance with the Control Room Operators’ Procedure Manual.
- Monitor, operate, and control the Central Fire Alarm System.
- Record completed work orders in the database and coordinate follow-up with field staff.
- Respond to system alarms and take prompt, appropriate action to resolve issues.
- Liaise with fire, gas, electricity and water departments, security, and building management during emergencies.
Experience and skills
- Previous experience in the same role in a luxury property; resort experience is a plus.
- BMS or related control systems certification or training is an added advantage.
- Strong theoretical and practical engineering troubleshooting ability.
- Proficiency in predictive maintenance and maintenance software applications.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
