Overview

As a Basic Technical Instructor, you will add value to the Maintenance Training by developing and delivering training solutions to support the Etihad Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a Subject Owner (SO) for developing training solutions to meet specific Etihad Engineering Technical Training (EYETT) requirements in line with CAR/Part-147 or CAR/Part-66 regulations.
  • Analyse training requirements, conduct and evaluate Job Analysis (JA) as well as Gap Analysis (GA) in order to generate Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and in doing so to identify training solutions which satisfy the needs of the EYETT.
  • Generate a Training Syllabus (TS) from the TNA or the direct stipulated requirements which supports the training courses delivered by EYETT.
  • Production of suitable and sufficient training course material for effective delivery of the subjects to EYEngTT requirements.
  • Deliver efficient and effective training in accordance with EYETT policies, processes and best practices.
  • Act in the capacity of invigilator for examinations conducted by EYETT.
  • Develop their own skills and subject knowledge base by methods such as observing colleagues and attending training courses.
  • Ensure that Training Managers are kept informed as to the state of compliance of the organization with regards to CAR/Part-147 or CAR/Part-66.
  • Attend training and development meetings as required by EYETT management.
  • Complete Attendance Registers, maintain records of students work, and maintain behavioural standards in the learning environment.
  • Compile examination questions, as required by the Examination Manager (EM), through EYETT management for the EYETT examination question database.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements

  • An appropriate and recognized engineering degree, or a valid GCAA CAR 66 or EASA Part 66 License in the relevant category (B1 for B1 Instructors, B2 for B2 Instructors), or appropriate CAR-147 or Part-147 Certificates of Recognition (CoR) for the modules to be taught.
  • Relevant training in the design, function, and operation of aircraft systems and components.
  • Documented relevant experience in a civil aviation environment with a minimum of 3 years.
  • Any aircraft type rating training in Cat A, B1.1, or B2. (applicable for Module 7 Theory and Basic Training Practical Instructor only)
  • Documented authorization issued by an approved CAR 145 organization with appropriate privileges (B1/B2), where applicable (applicable for Basic Training Practical Instructor only)
