Accountability
- Promote and maintain employee safety by ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Provide continual health and safety training and awareness within all employees.
- Undertake health and safety inspection and audits maintaining appropriate records ensuring root causes are addressed with timely corrective action plans
- Participate actively in all safety related events/campaigns held by the organization to ensure success of the events
- Investigate HSE injuries and incidents to ascertain the root cause and ensure corrective actions leading to elimination/minimizing of the threats in the future are undertaken.
- Develop and implement safety campaigns and initiatives to pro actively promote safety within the workplace
- Ensure all regulatory notifications and updates are maintained to ensure company compliance with legislation
- Maintain sound knowledge of current legislation governing all HSE elements.
Qualifications/Education/Experience/Training Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in safety management, Engineering or relevant fields is preferred.
- 5 years of experience in a high-risk environment practicing within the field of Occupational, Health, Safety & Environment
- Minimum NEBOSH certificate in Occupational, Health & Safety Management with a knowledge of the NFPA certification, ADOSH-SF regulation.
- Relevant Audit certification in OSH MS (e.g., ISO 45001:2018) is preferable
