Job Description** **Role Overview

Beverage Preparation & Service

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to luxury brand standards.
• Mix classic and signature cocktails with consistency, accuracy, and presentation excellence.
• Ensure all beverages are served promptly and in line with guest expectations.
• Maintain full knowledge of cocktail recipes, ingredients, and presentation standards.

Guest Experience

• Engage with guests in a warm, professional, and confident manner at the bar.
• Make personalised recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Create a lively yet refined bar atmosphere aligned with Banyan Tree standards.
• Handle guest requests and feedback professionally and efficiently.

Bar Operations

• Set up and prepare the bar before service, ensuring full readiness.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene of all bar areas.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering, receiving, and storage of beverages.
• Ensure proper handling of glassware, garnishes, and bar tools.
• Support closing duties including cleaning, restocking, and cash handling.

Product Knowledge & Upselling

• Maintain strong knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and cocktail offerings.
• Stay updated on seasonal drinks, promotions, and signature creations.
• Actively upsell premium beverages and enhance revenue opportunities.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Follow all HACCP, hygiene, and safety standards at all times.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain safe handling and storage of all bar equipment and products.

Teamwork & Coordination

• Work closely with waiters, supervisors, and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service.
• Support colleagues during peak periods to maintain efficiency.
• Participate in daily briefings and training sessions.

Qualifications** **Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience as a Bartender in a luxury hotel, high-end restaurant, or premium bar preferred.
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails and modern mixology techniques.
• Experience with high-volume yet quality-focused environments is an advantage.
• Good understanding of beverage costing and stock control.
• Excellent spoken English; additional languages are beneficial.
