Role Overview

The Barista is responsible for delivering exceptional beverage experiences by preparing and serving premium coffee, tea, and specialty beverages in accordance with Rosewood standards.

The role contributes to creating memorable guest experiences through product excellence, personalized service, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver warm, professional, and personalized service to all guests.
  • Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend suitable beverages and food pairings.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests and concerns.
  • Ensure all guest interactions reflect Rosewood's culture of genuine hospitality and luxury service.
  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based beverages, teas, fresh juices, mocktails, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
  • Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and related equipment.
  • Monitor beverage quality, consistency, presentation, and temperature before serving.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and beverage offerings.
  • Ensure workstations, counters, and service areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
  • Conduct daily opening and closing procedures in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment requirements to supervisors.
  • Assist with stock rotation following FIFO procedures and minimize wastage
  • Adhere to all food safety, HACCP, and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain personal grooming and hygiene in line with Rosewood standards.
  • Ensure all equipment is cleaned and maintained according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Follow health, safety, and emergency procedures at all times.

Qualifications And Requirements

  • Professional Barista certification preferred.
  • Minimum 1 2 years of experience as a Barista in a luxury hotel, premium caf , restaurant, or hospitality environment.
  • Experience with specialty coffee preparation and espresso-based beverages preferred.

• Skills & Competencies

  • Strong coffee preparation and latte art skills.
  • Excellent guest service and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of coffee beans, brewing techniques, and beverage trends.
