Bar Waitress

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Welcome and serve guests; present beverage menus, make recommendations, take orders, and relay them to the bar team.
• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages; monitor guest satisfaction and respond to requests or concerns.
• Maintain clean tables, counters, and service areas; set up and close the bar according to procedures.
• Process bills and payments, maintain knowledge of offerings and promotions, and restock service items and supplies.
• Comply with health, safety, hygiene, and responsible alcohol-service requirements; coordinate with the bar team.
• Upsell beverages and menu items to support revenue and guest experience.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of bar experience is required.
• Previous bar, waitress, or food-and-beverage service experience is preferred; hotel experience is also preferred.
• Good communication and customer-service skills; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude; flexibility for shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
• Basic knowledge of beverages, cocktails, wines, and spirits is an advantage.
