Backend Developer (.NET) in Abu Dhabi

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Design and develop C# and ASP.NET Core backend services and REST APIs.
• Implement case lifecycles, routing and assignment rules, statuses, service-level agreements, and notifications.
• Integrate client internal systems and third-party services.
• Design and optimize database structures and queries with Entity Framework Core and SQL.
• Ensure quality through unit testing, code reviews, and coding standards.
• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, frontend engineers, and QA engineers.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and daily team ceremonies.
• Support releases, resolve production issues, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of commercial backend development experience with C# and .NET, including ASP.NET Core and Web API.
• Strong knowledge of Entity Framework Core and relational databases such as MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and common design patterns.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and unit testing frameworks.
• Ability to work in an Agile team and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher.

Desired Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is desirable.
• Experience working for a UAE-based company is desirable.
• Experience with Azure services, Docker or Kubernetes, message brokers, or mobile application backends is desirable.
