Lead Azure cloud services operations in enterprise environments.
The role requires strong cloud engineering, automation, security, monitoring, and operational support capabilities.
The position includes rostered 24x7 on-call support for Azure services.
Technical skills
- Proven experience in enterprise Azure cloud operations.
- Strong proficiency in Terraform, Bicep, and Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD automation.
- Deep understanding of Azure AD, Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Managed Identities, and Conditional Access.
- Hands-on experience with AKS, Azure Container Apps, and Helm charts.
- Familiarity with Azure Policy, Blueprints, and Security Center.
- Knowledge of Azure networking, including Private Endpoints, NSGs, Firewalls, and Virtual WAN.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification is preferred.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate certification is preferred.
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert certification is preferred.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is preferred.

Key responsibilities
- Provide 24x7 Azure operational support, including incident resolution and problem management.
- Manage and optimize AKS, App Services, Functions, Container Apps, Azure SQL, and Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and ARM templates.
- Champion GitOps and DevOps practices with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor cloud resources using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Meet performance, availability, and security SLAs through DR testing, patching, and backup validation.
- Drive cost optimization with Azure Cost Management and Advisor.
- Maintain compliance with Microsoft Cloud Security Benchmark and other regulatory frameworks.
- Support hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud strategies with cross-functional teams.
