Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain production, development, and staging environments to support high availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot issues with DevOps, MLOps, and development teams and support the observability stack and incident-response processes.
• Assist with capacity planning and performance optimization for systems handling up to 10,000 requests per minute.
• Support infrastructure security and regulatory compliance, on-call rotation, and implementation of SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs.
• Support cloud-cost optimization, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.

Experience and infrastructure knowledge

• One to two years of SRE, DevOps, or similar experience; internships and hands-on project experience are considered.
• Familiarity with AWS and Azure Well-Architected Frameworks and basic knowledge of availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, security, compliance, and governance.
• Interest in cost optimization and FinOps; exposure to Infrastructure as Code concepts and understanding of logging, metrics, and tracing patterns.

Technical experience

• Some experience with AWS services including Lambda, ECS, Fargate, ALB, ELB, API Gateway, Route53, CloudFront, AppSync, DynamoDB, RDS PostgreSQL, and Aurora.
• AWS messaging, security, and developer tools include EventBridge, SNS, SQS, Security Groups, Secrets Manager, Systems Manager, IAM, ECR, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools; basic Infrastructure as Code knowledge using CDK and/or Terraform.
• Understanding of event-driven architecture; some experience with containerization and microservices; basic scripting and automation skills.
• Experience in Agile environments is a plus.

Preferred qualifications

• AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications are preferred.
• Next.js, Node.js, Python, authentication systems such as Auth0 or SSO, regulatory compliance awareness, and interest in ML/LLM operations are preferred.
• Multi-region AWS deployments, high-traffic systems, database management and optimization, caching, CDN implementations, data lifecycle management, ETL, and vector or graph databases are listed as preferred or advantageous.
