Associate Manager - Production

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Plan daily composite assembly work to the production schedule and assemble FRP/GRP/CFRP and sandwich components.
• Apply epoxy, PU, and structural adhesives, including surface preparation, mixing, application, and curing.
• Use jigs, fixtures, clamps, and tools; verify alignment, gaps, flushness, and dimensions against drawings.
• Read assembly drawings, BOMs, and work instructions; monitor processes and resolve shop-floor technical issues.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Design, and Stores; conduct first-piece inspections and ensure process compliance.
• Reduce rejection, rework, and adhesive waste; maintain production and process records.
• Implement 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement; comply with EHS and railway/metro safety requirements.

Qualifications and experience

• B.E., B.Tech, or diploma in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Polymer, or Composite Engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience is preferred.
• Railway/metro, automotive, aerospace, or composite-manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Exposure to FRP/GRP/CFRP, sandwich structures, and industrial adhesive bonding is advantageous.

Technical skills

• Composite assembly and adhesive bonding; epoxy, PU, and structural adhesive application.
• Jig and fixture handling; engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Production planning, manpower coordination, root cause analysis, problem solving, quality awareness, and process documentation.
• 5S, Lean, and Kaizen.

Compensation

• Annual salary range: INR 2,00,000–6,00,000.
