The position is an individual contributor role based in Mumbai, India, with minimal travel.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead the Order to Pay phase of large and time-sensitive engineering projects with minimal supervision.
- Execute retrofit and upgrade projects for existing vessels.
- Work with engineering and logistics teams to develop optimal supply chain setups.
- Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships and build effective partnerships.
- Analyze project plans, assess risks, drive optimization, and support continuous improvement.
- Drive supplier performance and resolve conflicts constructively.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience planning and executing projects in an international matrix organization.
- Strong commercial mindset focused on cost-effective solutions.
- Strong time management and prioritization under ambitious timelines.
- Relevant engineering education and/or a master's degree in supply chain or operations management.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, ownership, influencing, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage risks, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience executing large EPC projects is advantageous.
Work Environment
The procurement team focuses on automation, decarbonization, and ESG initiatives.
The role is part of an experienced Maersk Procurement organization.
