Role overview

Sales and reservations

• Resolve guest calls, requests, and problems with appropriate departments.
• Use sales techniques such as upselling to maximize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty.
• Provide guest rewards or recognition gifts and promote brand image.
• Process rewards redemptions and enter Marriott Rewards information when taking reservations.
• Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
• Answer, record, and process guest calls, requests, questions, and concerns.

Guest service and team support

• Perform office duties for Sales & Marketing, including filing, email, typing, and faxing.
• Assist management with training and motivating employees and serve as a role model.
• Follow company policies, maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, and thank guests with appreciation.
• Communicate professionally, prepare and review written documents, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, monitor performance, and meet quality standards.
• Perform reasonable additional duties as requested by supervisors.
• The role may involve moving or handling objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
• At least 2 years of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is listed as a preferred qualification; no license or certification is listed.
