Assistant Restaurant Manager
About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support daily restaurant operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and lead the team to achieve business goals.
Job Description
- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant
- Ensure excellent customer service and handle guest concerns professionally
- Supervise and support front-of-house and back-of-house staff
- Monitor staff performance, attendance, and grooming standards
- Assist in staff scheduling, training, and development
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (as per UAE regulations)
- Maintain inventory levels, control costs, and minimize wastage
- Support in achieving sales targets and maximizing profitability
- Handle cash management, billing, and daily financial reporting
- Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role within a restaurant
- Experience with POS systems and restaurant management software
- Knowledge of food safety standards and UAE regulations
- HACCP/EFS certification is required
- Multilingual skills are an advantage
- Flexible with shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Willing to work in Al Ain
