Responsibilities
- Provide up-to-date reports on assigned teaching activities and student advising.
- Develop courses and participate in curriculum and program development.
- Meet instructional and advising responsibilities specified in university policies and procedures.
- Participate in scholarly and research activities that support professional development and contribute to the discipline.
- Serve on department, college, and university committees as appropriate.
- Provide professional services to the University and community.
Qualifications
- A PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is necessary.
- Be a recognized authority in the subject area, with research and scholarship achievements and in-depth understanding of the specialism.
- Show relevant research potential, including potential to publish in appropriate leading journals.
- Demonstrate teaching ability, including varied delivery techniques that engage and inspire students.
- Be able to develop curriculum, deliver teaching programs effectively, and develop appropriate assessment techniques.
- Understand equal opportunity issues as they may affect teaching and engage in continuous professional development.
- Have good interpersonal skills, relate well to colleagues and students, meet deadlines, and plan and deliver programs of work.
Benefits and contract
- The academic appointment is a three-year renewable contract.
- Salary is commensurate with experience and tax-free; no specific amount or pay cadence is stated.
