Supports the Production Manager in day-to-day operation of the Production Department.
The role combines technical production and machinery knowledge with coating and finishing awareness, planning, administration, reporting, and team leadership.

Production operations
- Monitor schedules, workloads, and priorities so orders are completed on time.
- Coordinate manpower and workflow across production lines and support achievement of targets, quality requirements, and deadlines.
- Deputize for the Production Manager during absences.
Machinery and technical support
- Understand production machinery and equipment; assist with troubleshooting technical and production issues.
- Coordinate repairs or technical support with maintenance teams and suppliers.
- Identify recurring issues, recommend corrective actions, support preventive maintenance, and help improve efficiency and reliability.
Coatings and finishing
- Support processes involving wood stains, primers, base coats, lacquers, UV coatings, oils, and other finishing products.
- Understand coating application sequences, consumption, and curing requirements.
- Work with the Production Manager, R&D team, and suppliers on colour development, finishing issues, and product improvements.
- Troubleshoot colour variation, adhesion, coverage, drying, curing, and surface-finish issues; support trials of new finishing materials.
- Ensure products follow supplier recommendations and internal standards; monitor consumption and help reduce waste while maintaining quality.
Process improvement and administration
- Review production processes and identify productivity improvements and ways to reduce downtime.
- Support time-and-motion reviews, efficiency studies, and monitoring of material consumption, waste, and operational performance.
- Maintain schedules, update production orders in the company system, prepare reports, and record output, downtime, quality, and consumption.
- Coordinate production priorities and delivery requirements with Sales, Projects, Warehouse, and other departments.
Team and quality management
- Support supervision and development of production employees; allocate tasks, monitor performance, and guide staff.
- Lead the team when the Production Manager is unavailable and assist with employee training.
- Ensure products meet approved specifications, control samples, and quality standards.
- Support investigation of production quality issues and customer complaints; coordinate corrective actions with QC and relevant departments.
Safety and work environment
- Maintain safe working practices across the production area and support toolbox talks, housekeeping standards, and production discipline.

Requirements
- Technical production knowledge and understanding of production machinery.
- Awareness of coating and finishing processes, including application sequence, consumption, and curing requirements.
- Ability to support production efficiency, quality, workflow, and planning.
- Ability to supervise, guide, and develop production employees and lead the department when the Production Manager is absent.
- Ability to maintain production records and reports and coordinate with other departments.
- Ability to uphold production standards, company procedures, and safety requirements.
