Assistant Plant Operator

Role summary

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation and monitoring of batching plant machinery and control systems.
• Support concrete, cement block, and brick production to specifications and schedules.
• Handle and batch cement, aggregates, water, and other raw materials accurately.
• Monitor mixers, conveyors, hoppers, silos, and related equipment.
• Check equipment before and during production and report abnormalities or breakdowns.
• Support loading, material handling, and routine production activities.
• Coordinate with plant and quality staff to maintain product quality and workflow.
• Maintain production, material consumption, and equipment records.
• Assist with cleaning, routine maintenance, and housekeeping.
• Follow company procedures, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

Mandatory requirements

• At least one year of relevant experience in cement blocks or bricks manufacturing, ready-mix concrete, or similar concrete production; cement blocks or bricks experience is required.
• Basic knowledge of plant operations, concrete production, raw materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with mixers, conveyors, batching equipment, or block-making machinery.
• Basic understanding of equipment checks, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
• Able to follow instructions, maintain records, and work effectively in a team.
• Physically fit and willing to work in an industrial plant and shifts as required.
