Responsibilities
- Prepare French and international pastries, cakes, desserts, mousses, tarts, and other bakery items.
- Prepare creams, fillings, sauces, glazes, and decorative elements; follow approved recipes, portions, and presentation standards.
- Support production for restaurants, cafés, catering events, and special orders.
- Store, label, rotate, and handle ingredients properly; monitor quality and report shortages or wastage.
- Maintain pastry-section cleanliness and hygiene, and follow HACCP, food-safety, and company standards.
- Assist with plating and presentation; perform other duties assigned by the Pastry Chef or Executive Chef.
Requirements
- At least 1–2 years of professional pastry-kitchen experience and practical knowledge of French and international pastries.
- Experience with croissants, éclairs, tarts, cakes, mousses, macarons, and plated desserts.
- Basic knowledge of chocolate work, dough preparation, baking temperatures, and pastry decoration.
- Ability to follow recipes and work accurately under pressure; good teamwork, time-management, and communication skills.
- Hotel, high-end restaurant, café, or catering experience is preferred; a relevant culinary or pastry qualification is preferred.
Pay
- Pay is AED 2,500–3,000 per month.
