Key Responsibilities
- Prepare French and international pastries, cakes, desserts, mousses, tarts, and bakery items.
- Assist with creams, fillings, sauces, glazes, and decorative elements.
- Follow approved recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Support production for restaurants, cafés, catering events, and special orders.
- Store, label, rotate, and handle ingredients properly.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pastry section.
- Monitor ingredient quality and report shortages or wastage.
- Assist with plating, decoration, and final presentation.
- Follow HACCP, food-safety, and company standards.
- Perform duties assigned by the Pastry Chef or Executive Chef.
Requirements
- At least 1–2 years of experience in a professional pastry kitchen.
- Practical knowledge of French and international pastries.
- Experience preparing croissants, éclairs, tarts, cakes, mousses, macarons, and plated desserts.
- Basic knowledge of chocolate work, dough preparation, baking temperatures, and pastry decoration.
- Ability to follow recipes and work accurately under pressure.
- Good teamwork, time-management, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hotels, high-end restaurants, cafés, or catering operations is preferred.
- A relevant culinary or pastry qualification is preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 1,600 to AED 1,800 per month.
Workplace
