Education and experience
- A four-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or a related major is required.
- No work experience is required.
Purchasing and inventory
- Assist the Executive Chef with food, beverage, and controllable purchasing to support quality and profitability.
- Order food and beverage according to business needs and coordinate delivery timing with kitchen teams and vendors.
- Receive and inspect deliveries; compare invoices with shipments for quantity, quality, weights, and purchase specifications.
- Maintain inventory levels, dating, rotation, requisitions, FIFO practices, and beverage records.
- Help maintain or lower budgeted food and controllable costs; calculate inventory and complete period-end counts.
- Maintain sanitation, safety, and security standards for storeroom products and assets.
Accounting and administration
- Use computer programs to process invoices, update items and costs, and calculate food and beverage costs.
- Ensure accurate invoice administration and bookkeeping; complete administrative records on time.
- Prepare timely reports, verify information, document profits and losses, and monitor applicable taxes.
- Communicate availability and pricing issues to the F&B Director and Executive Chef.
- Assist organizational units with accounting and budgeting policies and financial controls.
Knowledge and standards
- Demonstrate knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
- Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency of A.S.I. standards.
