Job Purpose

Support the Audit Planning, Quality, and Monitoring function by contributing to the development, implementation, and follow-up of audit plans, quality frameworks, and performance monitoring activities.

The role assists in ensuring alignment with SOPC’s internal audit priorities, applicable standards, and governance requirements.

The Assistant Manager plays a key role in quality assurance, institutional performance evaluation, and monitoring organizational initiatives, while providing accurate analysis and reporting to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

Audit Planning & Strategic Alignment

  • Assist in the preparation and documentation of strategic and annual audit plans in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Support periodic risk assessment activities and contribute to translating results into risk-based audit plans.
  • Ensure audit planning activities are aligned with governance, compliance, and organizational priorities.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather inputs required for effective audit planning.
  • Contribute to the review and enhancement of audit methodologies, tools, and templates in line with international standards

Performance & Quality Management

  • Develop, implement, and manage KPIs to accurately measure progress against strategic and operational objectives.
  • Lead Total Quality Management (TQM) programs and ensure adherence to recognized frameworks such as EFQM and ISO.
  • Analyze performance data to identify patterns, gaps, and opportunities, driving continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Design and implement quality assurance mechanisms that validate the accuracy and reliability of performance reporting.

Project Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

  • Support the monitoring of organizational projects and initiatives relevant to internal audit oversight.
  • Assist in conducting institutional performance assessments and documenting evaluation outcomes.
  • Prepare draft reports, dashboards, and progress updates for review by the Manager, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

Governance, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Support compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable quality and audit standards.
  • Contribute to the development and follow-up of improvement plans arising from audits, assessments, or evaluations.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the scope of work.
