Position summary
Supervise and coordinate kitchen workers and support food preparation, presentation, and product quality.
Kitchen and food duties
- Plan food presentation and decorative displays; ensure proper portions, arrangement, and garnish.
- Monitor food quantities and stock of kitchen supplies and food; maintain food safety and product logs.
- Prepare special meals and substitutions, assist kitchen staff, and provide cooks with needed items.
- Inform Food and Beverage service staff about menu specials and unavailable items; report products that do not meet specifications.
Preferred qualifications
- Four to six years of related work experience is preferred.
- At least two years of supervisory experience is preferred.
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
- No license or certification is specified.
Schedule and work setting
- The position is full time and not remote.
- The role involves physical kitchen work, including prolonged standing or walking and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Team, safety, and service
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Follow company, safety, and security procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training.
- Address guest service needs, communicate professionally, maintain positive working relationships, and uphold quality expectations.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and perform other reasonable duties as requested.
