Supports the Finance Manager in accurate financial reporting, cash-flow management, statutory compliance, internal controls, budgeting, and day-to-day finance department operations.
Finance operations and reporting
- Assist the Finance Manager or Finance Director with day-to-day finance and accounting activities.
- Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank transactions, and supplier and subcontractor payments.
- Prepare and review monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, management reports, budgets, forecasts, and budget-versus-actual analysis.
- Monitor cash flow, funding requirements, customer collections, outstanding receivables, and ageing reports.
- Reconcile intercompany transactions and bank accounts; resolve discrepancies.
- Support VAT, corporate tax, and statutory submissions; coordinate external audits and provide required schedules and documents.
Controls, close, and team support
- Maintain accurate ERP records; review journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and month-end closing entries.
- Monitor fixed assets and maintain the fixed asset register.
- Monitor project costs, profitability, and financial reporting; coordinate with Projects, Procurement, HR, and other departments.
- Monitor financial policies, approval procedures, and internal controls; support payroll review and reconciliation.
- Prepare financial analyses for senior management, guide finance team members, identify discrepancies and control weaknesses, and maintain audit documentation.
- Support monthly and year-end closing, meet reporting deadlines, and cover Finance Manager responsibilities when authorized.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree required.
- Eight years of Assistant Finance Manager experience in the UAE required.
- English and Hindi required.
- UAE driving license preferred.
Pay
- AED 8,000–10,000 per month.
