Responsible for daily shift operations of Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club, and Laundry where applicable.
Ensures guestrooms, public spaces, and employee areas are clean and well maintained while supporting guest and employee satisfaction and operating-budget goals.
Schedule and workplace
- The position is full time and not remote.
- The role is located in Doha West Bay, Doha, Qatar.
Education and experience
- High school diploma or GED plus 2 years of housekeeping or related professional experience; alternatively, a two-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major with no experience required.
Housekeeping operations and budgets
- Communicate guestroom status to the Front Desk and prepare work assignments using rooms needing immediate cleaning and expected check-outs.
- Inspect guestrooms and support an effective inspection program for guestrooms and public spaces.
- Monitor supplies, equipment, and uniforms; communicate areas needing attention and follow up with staff.
- Supervise shift operations and ensure compliance with housekeeping policies, standards, and procedures.
- Manage operations to achieve or exceed budget goals and participate in departmental meetings.
Employee and guest service
- Train new room attendants and provide follow-up training as needed.
- Schedule employees to business demands and track time and attendance; supervise staffing to meet service, operational, and financial needs.
- Provide feedback, support recognition and discipline processes, and address employee concerns.
- Set a positive example for guest relations, handle guest problems and complaints, and support corrective action to improve satisfaction.
