Assistant Events Manager

Role overview

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Lead conferences, meetings, weddings, social events, and corporate functions from enquiry through execution.
• Build client relationships and understand needs to exceed expectations.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, banquet event orders, and event documentation.
• Coordinate with Food & Beverage, Culinary, Rooms, Engineering, and other operational teams.
• Conduct site inspections and client meetings to showcase hotel facilities and event capabilities.
• Drive revenue through upselling and effective event planning; monitor event details, timelines, and budgets.
• Deliver events to brand standards, handle guest feedback, and resolve issues promptly.
• Support pre-opening sales initiatives, promotional activities, and event showcases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Events Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in Events, Catering Sales, Conference Services, or a similar hospitality role.
• Strong organizational, project management, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; strong attention to detail and service commitment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management systems; proactive, creative, and guest-focused approach.
