Overview

  • The Art Director leads the creative and visual direction of QC+ brands and initiatives, ensuring all visual output aligns with brand strategy, audience expectations, and business objectives.
  • This role is responsible for developing creative frameworks, visual systems, campaign concepts, and brand experiences that elevate the QC+ portfolio and strengthen its market presence.
  • The Art Director oversees the end-to-end creative process across campaigns, content, events, digital platforms, publications and brand activations.
  • The role also provides leadership and direction to the design team while collaborating closely with Brand Managers, Content, Digital, PR, and external creative partners.
  • As Creative Lead, this role owns:
  • Visual identity governance across the QC+ portfolio
  • Campaign creative direction and concept development
  • Creative quality assurance and design standards
  • Design team leadership and development
  • Evolution of brand guidelines and visual systems

1. Creative Strategy

  • Define and continuously evolve the visual language of QC+ and its portfolio brands
  • Develop creative concepts and visual frameworks that support brand positioning and marketing objectives
  • Translate strategic briefs into compelling creative directions, narratives, and design systems
  • Lead the development of campaign concepts, key visuals, and integrated creative platforms
  • Identify opportunities to elevate brand perception through innovative and culturally relevant creative approaches

2. Brand Governance & Design Excellence

  • Act as the guardian of brand identity, ensuring consistency across all channels and touchpoints
  • Maintain and evolve brand guidelines, visual standards, and creative toolkits
  • Establish creative review processes and quality control measures across the department
  • Review and approve all design outputs before final release
  • Ensure typography, imagery, color systems, layouts, and graphic assets are applied consistently
  • Drive best practices in design, storytelling, and user experience

  • Campaign Creative Development.
  • Lead creative development across seasonal campaigns, launches, partnerships, activations, and major events
  • Develop mood boards, visual territories, creative concepts, and presentation materials
  • Partner with Brand Managers to translate marketing objectives into impactful creative solutions
  • Ensure campaign creative is adapted effectively across digital, print, social, environmental, and experiential channels
  • Collaborate with Digital and Content teams to create engaging audience-facing assets

4. Art Direction & Content Production

  • Lead the visual direction of photography, videography, and content production projects
  • Develop shot lists, styling directions, references, and creative treatments – when needed
  • Provide on-site creative leadership during shoots and productions – when needed
  • Guide image selection, post-production, retouching, editing, and final asset delivery

5. Creative Leadership & Operations

  • Provide clear creative direction, conduct regular design reviews, and ensure consistent application of brand standards across all projects
  • Manage creative resources, priorities, and workloads to ensure efficient delivery across multiple brands and initiatives
  • Oversee relationships with external creative agencies, production houses, photographers, videographers, illustrators, and freelancers
  • Develop clear creative briefs and establish expectations for both internal teams and external partners
  • Review and approve creative output from the. team, agencies and vendors to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and quality standards
  • Ensure creative projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required standard of excellence
  • Identify opportunities to improve creative workflows, processes, asset management, and team efficiency
  • Support the professional growth and capability development of the design team through coaching, feedback, and knowledge sharing
  • Elevate creative standards across the organization while ensuring consistency, scalability, and operational effectiveness

6. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Brand Managers, Communications, Digital Marketing, and Content teams to ensure integrated execution
  • Support senior leadership in developing presentations, strategic initiatives, and special projects
  • Contribute to the creative direction of new brand launches, partnerships, and commercial ventures
  • Act as a trusted creative advisor across the business

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Art Direction, or a related field
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in creative design, branding, or visual communications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an Art Director or senior creative leadership role
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, creative leadership, and execution across multiple channels
  • Experience managing designers and leading creative teams
  • Experience within hospitality, retail, cultural, luxury, lifestyle, or destination brands is strongly preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and relevant creative tools
  • Experience directing photography and video productions
