The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall performance, profitability, compliance, and operational excellence of multiple retail pharmacy branches within the assigned region.
The role involves managing all aspects of branch operations, driving sales growth, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining regulatory compliance, optimizing inventory management, and leading branch teams to achieve organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned pharmacy branches and ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive sales performance, profitability, and business growth across all locations.
- Monitor and analyze branch KPIs, implementing corrective actions to improve performance where required.
- Ensure high standards of customer service and effective resolution of customer concerns.
- Manage inventory performance, including stock availability, stock rotation, expiry control, and inventory accuracy.
- Conduct regular branch visits, operational audits, and performance reviews.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Branch Managers, Pharmacists, and support staff to enhance productivity and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with DHA, MOH, insurance, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments including Procurement, HR, Finance, Marketing, to support operational objectives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost optimization, and business expansion.
- Prepare and present operational and performance reports to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in retail pharmacy operations, with at least 2–3 years in a multi-branch management role.
- Strong knowledge of retail pharmacy operations, inventory management, sales performance, and regulatory compliance.
