Architectural Engineer

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Develop architectural drawings and technical designs in accordance with project specifications and Saudi building codes.
• Participate in planning, design coordination, and project management to support efficient workflows and timely delivery.
• Review and validate design documents, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Supervise on-site implementation for compliance with approved designs, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers to resolve design and construction issues.
• Assist with project budgeting, cost estimation, and resource planning.
• Prepare progress reports, project documentation, and technical presentations for management and clients.
• Ensure architectural work complies with SCE regulations and relevant authority requirements.
• Support sustainable and efficient building design; provide technical guidance to junior engineers and draftsmen.

Requirements and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or architectural engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Valid membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• At least 10 years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, and related tools.
• Adequate knowledge of project planning and construction supervision.
• Familiarity with MS Project or Primavera for scheduling and tracking project progress.
• Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory.
