The role coordinates technical drawings and information between design, production, procurement, quality, installation, clients, consultants, and site teams.
Drawings and manufacturing preparation
- Review architectural and design drawings and technical specifications; prepare detailed shop drawings for woodwork.
- Calculate quantities and prepare materials and accessories lists, plus cutting and manufacturing lists for each project.
- Select appropriate materials and confirm compliance with approved specifications.
- Convert approved drawings into clear manufacturing instructions for the factory.
Production and project coordination
- Coordinate design, production, procurement, quality, and installation teams; follow up on client or consultant approval of drawings, samples, and materials.
- Resolve technical clashes before and during manufacturing and monitor production against drawings.
- Control drawing revisions and issue the latest versions to production.
- Prepare installation drawings, coordinate with site teams, and verify final site measurements before manufacturing.
- Reduce material waste, improve board and material use, prepare handover files, and update as-built drawings.
