Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise all lifting and hoisting activities on site.
- Prepare and review lifting plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Ensure cranes, lifting equipment, and accessories are suitable and properly certified.
- Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, banksmen, and site teams.
- Ensure compliance with approved lifting procedures and UAE safety requirements.
- Inspect lifting accessories and ensure proper rigging practices.
- Control lifting zones and maintain safe exclusion areas.
- Monitor critical and complex lifting operations.
- Stop unsafe lifting activities and report hazards or incidents to HSE or project management.
- Maintain lifting records, inspection certificates, and related documentation.
Requirements
- Diploma, ITI, or a relevant technical qualification.
- 3–5+ years of experience in lifting operations within construction or main contracting.
- Proven experience as an Appointed Person or Lifting Supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of lifting plans, crane operations, rigging, and lifting accessories.
- Relevant UAE lifting or safety certification is preferred.
- Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with site teams.
