Application Engineer I - Saudi National Only

Position summary

Responsibilities

• Improve project productivity and quality by driving and maintaining standardization.
• Apply software technologies to Asset Performance Management, Operations Management, and other HCI solutions in oil and gas, refinery, chemical, and minerals industries.
• Contribute to technical discussions on asset performance, digital integration, and data-driven models.
• Work with lead or senior engineers on project design and delivery, independently delivering assigned work with minimal supervision.
• Conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concept activities.
• Support conceptual, user-requirement, functional, and detailed technical design specifications.
• Gain customer stakeholder acceptance of designs and explain the business impact and value of process and system changes.
• Ensure test scripts, test data, test logs, and defect logs are in place for quality delivery.
• Facilitate critical project activities and customer buy-in; support change management through process diagrams, training documentation, and training sessions.
• Share technical knowledge, escalate technical issues early, support proposal teams, and showcase Honeywell solutions to potential customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, IT, Physics, or a similar discipline.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Industrial IT technology certificates, such as SQL Server, Python, or current programming languages, are preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to focus on and prioritize key issues.
• Teamwork, interpersonal skills, relationship-building ability, and strong communication and presentation skills.

Travel and project setting

• The position requires approximately 30% travel, mostly within Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East.
• The direct staff position is expected to be billable to customer projects and support services on average at least 90%.
